Auto (one long page)

Renders the page using its print stylesheet, the layout a site uses when you print it. This usually drops navigation, ads, and sidebars for a cleaner result, though some sites have no print stylesheet, in which case the page looks the same either way.
Lossy Compression
Choose how much to compress the PNG. "Lossy" gives the smallest files at the cost of image quality; "Auto" picks a level for you.
Lower values give better compression (at the cost of image quality)
Makes the color you pick transparent in the PNG output. Use the color picker or enter a hex value (e.g. #FFFFFF).

An HTM file is a web page written in HyperText Markup Language — exactly the same thing as an .html file. The shorter extension is a leftover from early Windows and DOS systems, which limited file extensions to three characters, and many older web servers and authoring tools kept the habit. There is no difference at all in the content: browsers treat .htm and .html identically.

 

How to open an HTM file?

Double-click it and the page opens in your default browser. Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Safari all render HTM without any configuration.

 

To inspect or change the markup, open the file in Visual Studio Code, Notepad++, or any text editor. Saved pages frequently rely on an accompanying _files folder holding images and stylesheets, so keep the two together when moving the page. Portable Network Graphics (PNG) is a raster-based file type that compresses images for portability. PNG images can have RGB or RGBA colors and support transparency, which makes them perfect for use in icons, or graphic designs. PNG also supports animations with better transparency (try our GIF to APNG). The benefits of using PNG are Plus, PNG is an open format that uses lossless compression. 

How to open a PNG file?

Generally, PNG files will open in your operating system’s default image viewer. PNG files are also easily viewable on all web browsers. If you are having trouble opening PNG files, use our PNG to JPG, PNG to WebP, or PNG to BMP converters.


Alternative programs such as GIMP or Adobe Photoshop are useful for opening and editing PNG files. PNG files are a bit larger than other file types, so exercise caution when adding them to a web page. One interesting feature of PNG files is the ability to create transparency in the image, particularly a transparent background.
