Keep original size
Choose how to set the output size: keep the original dimensions, enter a width or height while keeping the aspect ratio, or customize both dimensions.
Lossy Compression
Choose how much to compress the PNG. "Lossy" gives the smallest files at the cost of image quality; "Auto" picks a level for you.
Lower values give better compression (at the cost of image quality)
Makes the color you pick transparent in the PNG output. Use the color picker or enter a hex value (e.g. #FFFFFF).
Sets the pixels per inch (0-1000) used when converting to a raster image. Higher DPI gives a sharper result but a larger file. 72-150 is fine for on-screen use, and 300 is the usual choice for printing.
Choose a color using the color picker or enter a hex color value. (eg. #FFFFFF)
Sets how opaque the background is, from 0 (fully transparent) to 1 (fully opaque).

CorelDRAW Image (CDR) is the native vector graphics format of CorelDRAW, long a favourite in sign-making, screen printing, engraving, and packaging design. A CDR file describes artwork as paths, curves, and text objects rather than pixels, so it scales to any size without becoming blurry, and it keeps layers, spot colours, and effects fully editable. The format is proprietary and has changed considerably between versions, which sometimes causes compatibility problems.

 

How to open a CDR file?

CorelDRAW itself opens every version of the format and is the only application guaranteed to render a complex CDR exactly as designed.

 

Other applications that import many CDR files are Inkscape and LibreOffice Draw, both using the open libcdr library, though very new or very old files may not load cleanly. Affinity Designer is another option. If you only need to view or share the artwork, convert it with our CDR to PNG tool.

PNG images can have RGB or RGBA colors and support transparency, which makes them perfect for use in icons, or graphic designs. PNG also supports animations with better transparency (try our GIF to APNG). The benefits of using PNG are Plus, PNG is an open format that uses lossless compression. 

How to open a PNG file?

Generally, PNG files will open in your operating system’s default image viewer. PNG files are also easily viewable on all web browsers. If you are having trouble opening PNG files, use our PNG to JPG, PNG to WebP, or PNG to BMP converters.


Alternative programs such as GIMP or Adobe Photoshop are useful for opening and editing PNG files. PNG files are a bit larger than other file types, so exercise caution when adding them to a web page. One interesting feature of PNG files is the ability to create transparency in the image, particularly a transparent background.
