A GIF plays and repeats on its own wherever pictures are shown — a chat thread, an email, a forum post or a slide — with nothing to press and no player needed. That makes it a simple way to show a short sequence: step-by-step instructions, a product turning around, or a before-and-after comparison. "Merge" setting, which is ON to begin with, makes your uploads become one animation.

Each picture becomes a single frame, and the frames play in the order the files were uploaded, so naming them 01, 02, 03 beforehand is the easiest way to control the sequence. Nothing is redrawn or stretched: pictures of different sizes are positioned inside the frame, at their original dimensions unless you ask for a resize. The delay starts at 20, which plays about five pictures a second.

Your uploads are never altered, so the original photos stay exactly where they were — keep them. Inside the animation the pictures are fixed into frames: you cannot swap one out, reorder them or pull a full quality photo back out. If something is wrong, upload the set again with the order or the delay adjusted. Hidden camera information is stripped by default, so nothing personal travels with it.
